I do take advice with a grain of salt, though, because it is usually tinted by that person's experiences which are bound to be at least a little different than mine... and no matter how well you describe a situation to a friend when asking for advice, they're still getting only 1 side of the story to base their advice on...Ladies: Do you ask anyone for advice before you go out with a man for the first or second date?

I almost never ask for advice on relationships from anyone, at any time over the course of it, except for generalities or in investigating my own actions. the only people involved in a relationship to the extent that they can effectively counsel are usually the two people in that relationship, unless all is revealed by a professional.Ladies: Do you ask anyone for advice before you go out with a man for the first or second date?

Yeah I do. Sometimes, you might just need some motivation from a girl friend that everything's gonna go alright and that you're not going to screw it up and also...To see if your girlfriends got any news on the guy from before

Chances are she has. I know I do. I've got to talk to atleast a friend or a relative who knows me and/or my past so that way another point of view can help me think things through. I think that's just the way it works

of course i do! my mother and consult with several friends especially if my friends have met the person already.
Nah. I rely on my own advice for dating. Everyone else would give me tips on how to KEEP the guy interested, which is not what I'm trying to do. I only date for research purposes.
